Nice game but when colliding with a wall and trying to move diagonally into it, the movement speed decreases. I suggest normalising the movement vector before applying speed.

Good work pointing it out. apparently I am normalizing the direction before applying speed but what is wrong is that I am doing it in Update which is creating this issue will rewrite it in FixedUpdate. thanks again its a really small detail but affects gameplay.

yes its designed in such a way to challenge the  players . Pro Tip - Use the shield effectively its your lifeline. and also Comment your highscore
